My boyfriend and I went on a date here and it was so tasty! The service was awesome they were so sweet and welcoming. The food was fresh and flavorful, salmon strips were excellent and the soul rolls were delicious. Definitely would come back!
Order: 8 piece chicken wing, roll, and mash potatoes. The chicken was well crisped, soul roll was DELICIOUS. One of Akron’s well hidden gem!
I got the sampler and it was so good I haven’t had southern cooking that good since I was a kid their fryer was down but the workers made amazing accommodations for what they couldn’t make at the time, overall amazing service and food. Definitely check this place out y’all!
The customer service was A1. Attentive, polite and helpful. Just what I expect. If they keep that up they will maintain the business they have and attract new customers as well. They have a menu that rotates every week. We were happy with the variety. The menu is al a cart, but they also had entree with side options. We had left overs.
Hubby and I just stumbled upon it and we’re so glad we did. We both got the chicken wings which were a bit bigger than I usually like, but the seasoning was worth it! These wings were seasoned to perfection all the way through! The greens were delectable with a slight kick and the mac n cheese was very cheesy and yummy! We’ll be back to try some other menu items.
Food freshly prepared, everything was tasty, portions were generous. Staff was kind and courteous. One of the fastest Soul Food meal preparations that I have ever received. They have a weekly rotating menu The order was correct. I will return.
Plannerz is in a food court type area, with one side being restaurants and the other side shops. There's Plannerz, Mons, a dessert restaurant, and a bar. I didn't visit the shops. The seating is ok ish. There are five community tables (seats 8) with three being high top table. The food here is GREAT. I traveled from down south (NC area) and this food *IS* soul food. I split the $99 Valentines Day special: 2 porkchops, 10 chicken wings, roast and veggies, sweet potatoes, mac and cheese, greens, potato salad, a soul egg roll (the above sides in an egg roll, deep fried) and cornbread. This was enough four people. The meat was perfectly cooked and served hot. The sides were good - the sweet potatoes and greens were better than the rest. The potato salad was sweet and I don't think the mac and cheese was baked (I'm fine with both of these, but if you don't opt for the sweet potatoes and greens). I'm not a fan of cornbread. There are soda and water available for purchase. Tanya was our chef and waitress. She was AMAZING. 100% recommend.
Stopped by to grab a quick bite to eat while in town for the Chris Stapleton concert 5/31/24. Can I tell you how delicious the food was?! I had an order of whole chicken wings (5) cooked to perfection, a Soul Roll, and a slice of pound cake. Fast service and AWESOME customer service! And yes I saved 2 of my 5 wings and pound cake slice and drove them ALL the way back to Cincinnati to eat them!! 😛😛😛😛I will be back to try more menu items on future trips to Akron!! My husband and decided to take a ride to Plannerz Place Eatery @ Northside Marketplace. The restaurant was highlighted on New Day Cleveland. The owner was very kind & welcoming. She took the time to explain the weekly rotating menu. I enjoyed salmon croquettes over rice and a side of cabbage. My husband loved her smothered chicken & her famous soul rolls. I would highly recommend stopping by The food was AMAZING!!😊
I wish I could give more than 5 stars! The Plannerz Place continues to impress me each week. Their rotating menu keeps it interesting and fresh. The meatloaf is perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice. The Mac and cheese, don’t even get me started on how good it is!!! 🧀 🔥 Carrots were perfectly sweet and soft. Mashed potatoes and corn soufflé, incredible. The banana pudding is literally the best I’ve ever had - generous portion of fresh banana slices and the nilla wafers on the bottom are a nice touch. The service has always been nothing but excellent! I can’t recommend The Plannerz Place enough - try it, you won’t be disappointed! 🍽️
